- Thassos island is 6 miles from the mainland in the North Aegean Sea. The land is 10 minutes from the Port of Prinos and within the town boundary which permits building 200m2 of a new structure. There are 2 legalized off grid structures one a stone studio of 32m2 and the other a lean to of 52m2 with an old bathroom. There are dozens of landscaped fruit and walnut trees in the fenced property. The land is nestled between two tavernas only 5 minute walk and there are no neighbours for complete privacy. The bus stop is 30m away for the 3km trek to the white sandy beaches of Skala Rahoni. There are resort activities of all water sports, a public harbour with jetties, hotels, and many fine tavernas on the beach. The market town of Prinos has the well equipped health centre, shops, cafes, builders yards, farmers market and all amenities. This is a ten minute drive away with the olive factories, museums, and the honey factory on the road for great shopping. Rahoni is popular for it's mineral water spring, white marble quarries, the amphitheatre of traditional stone houses on the mountain side the ancient Roman trails for hiking across the island. Antiquities abound amongst the island from 700bc. Unique land and seascapes which are not overun with tourism making this a very sought after island connecting with an international airport of Kavala. International festivals are running from the ancient city of Phillipi, one of the oldest amphitheatres in Greece with world class performances.
